Some Year End Thoughts

2015 has been a momentous year for Ever-so. Back in July we rebranded the site to Essili which was a sad moment for everyone who had worked on the original site from the beginning in 2006 and seen how it had grown and established itself as a great place to shop on line. But we knew we were restricted by the name and had to change it to something more brandable. So Essili was born.

We had done our homework about what to do and not do when changing a site name and although we did all the "right things" we did not expect it to be a change without pain. Search ranking can be a fragile thing an even slight changes can impact positions adversely. So we did plan for some reduction in traffic and rankings. Which proved to be sensible as we had a very quiet August. Six months on we can now report that there was an initial drop but we have been seeing steady growth as the rankings improve month on month.

So are we pleased we changed our name?  You bet we are! For a start we have seen a 100% drop in dubious telephone calls, usually from men who had not looked past the site name and did not understand that we sold lingerie and nothing else! But that is just a small bonus in comparison to the memorable and user friendly brand name we now have which provides a foundation to build the site into the go to place to buy lingerie and underwear of all types not to mention the luxury nightwear and swimwear. Who knows we might even expand into other product types!

As 2015 draws to a close we are planning for an exciting 2016 (but we promise no more name changes) but there will be more customer choice than ever before. Plus possibly some changes to the site. So its well worth keeping an eye on us.

In case you did not notice....

Ever-so-sexy.com is no more.  At the end of July Ever so was closed down after nearly nine years of trading as an on line retailer of fine quality lingerie of all types. Fear not! This was not a death, it was a brand name change and as Ever so disappeared the new brand Essili.com appeared.

Essili offers just as much beautiful lingerie as the old site and it is a lot easier to type the domain name whether on a pc, laptop or mobile. Short snappy and easy to remember the new brand name now has a way to go to gain recognition but the team at Essili are working hard on that.

Join the My Favourite Bra Survey

Is Sexy Lingerie Boom or Bust?

There's an interesting post over on the main site blog today.  Gill has written about Lola Luna and how there market has shrunk while competitors have increased. DDOS Attack

Ever-so-Sexy web site is currently down due to a DDOS attack.

We don't know why the site has been attacked - we are not aware of any enemies and we are surely not a target for some political group who should have better things to do than concern themselves with a luxury lingerie site. If it is instigated by a competitor then that is truly sad!. We know lingerie is a competitive market but if anyone has had to resort to these dirty tactics to take us offline then that says more about their weakness than anything else and they should start looking over their shoulder because a DDOS attack is a criminal offence.

Business continues as usual behind the scenes. We are still processing and shipping orders and this break in web traffic will give us a little time to do a little spring cleaning.

Calling Last Orders on Jane Woolrich

November 6th is the official last order date for Christmas 3013 delivery. So hurry along and place that order before it is too late. It might be possible to sneak an order in after the deadline but do you really want the hassle and worry of not knowing if the Christmas gift is going to arrive in time.

If indecision is your problem, and let's face it with so many beautiful designs to choose from it can be difficult to pick just one, then have a look at this.

Ssssh!  We are sleeping.

Not really, but you might be forgiven for thinking that we were ever-so-sleepy as it has been so quiet around here lately.

The reason is that we now have an on-site blog and so it is difficult to know what to do with our original blog.  We don't want to close it as we think there is some quite good stuff on here (we hope you agree).

Anyway.... we have decided what to do!  If you saw the last posts you will see that we did much more in the way of images and much less in the way of words! - So that is what we will be doing with this blog from now on.... a sort of gallery of new designs and products and of course if you want further information you can always visit the site or even read the on site blog at ever-so-sexy.com
